What is a Hermès wash scarf?
WASH scarves from Hermès are made of a silk that is more flexible than twill. Below are Hermès' explanations on this subject.
"This washing effect gives the silk a velvety feel and a patina. The Hermès scarf is reinvented as a velvety Wash scarf. Washed by the expert hands of our artisans, the scarf transforms into a relaxed, mattified, slightly faded piece and gains an irresistible fluffy touch. This exclusive process makes each scarf unique and can slightly modify its dimensions."
Hermès fans love them because they are all-terrain! We wash ours by hand (and even in the machine). However, be careful when ironing. Above all, do not iron the rolling as this risks flattening it.
