Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Fleurs de Fuchsia – Leigh Cooke (2006)

VENDU

Fleurs de fuchsia (Fuchsia Flowers) is a scarf designed by Leigh Cooke and issued in 2006. On a wonderfully soft pastel green ground, pink fuchsia flowers unfold like little bells, with their swept-back petals and delicate stamens, rendered with the precision of a botanical plate.

An English illustrator trained in Manchester, Leigh Cooke has worked for Hermès since 2001. There he signs scarves that are recognisable among all others, in which nature and everyday objects become motifs: À vos crayons, A Walk in the Park, In the Pocket. Carré Society has also offered Dragonflies, by the same designer: in it we find the same tenderness for the plant world that is the signature of his universe.

Never reissued, Fleurs de fuchsia is a springlike scarf, rare and sought after. In excellent condition, with a nicely round, plump hand-rolled hem.

A word from Diane

Fleurs de fuchsia is delicacy made into a scarf. The pastel green and the pink answer each other with an almost watercolour softness: fresh, tender, luminous. A scarf full of poetry, carrying within it the promise of spring.

Every Hermès scarf is cleaned and pressed by a specialist Hermès dry cleaner before going on sale when its condition requires it.
